Oxford with some cajun flair

My favorite food adventurer and I decided one night to skip town and head to Oxford, IA. This trip to Augusta has been on my list of Places to Eat for, hmmm I don’t know, two effing years. It was much more quaint than expected, and is a stone’s throw from a great towney bar adorned with jars of liquid and pickled things. You can read about our experience at Augusta, here.

I also failed to mention that my favorite part of meals is when the chef comes out and talks to you, or really anyone with a large, unapologetic personality. Our waitress, one of the owners was awesome. A laugh for a sound track. A personality like a cartoon character that instantly transports you to Nawlins. She was a highlight of the trip.
