A little sump’n

Although this week was full of food, I’m crushing my brain to think of something noteworthy enough to talk about. I had a few brief and nice experiences but all leave me feeling like “well, I haven’t really been there”. I’ve been trying to rediscover Cedar Rapids one independent, hometown restaurant at a time. I”m afraid that part of me leans towards scrutiny, “tough love” and ultimately disappointment with the hope that it is seen as motivation by business owners and they will rise to the challenge. But another part of me turns a blind eye, looks past my less-than-adequate service and sets sight on the history, the effort and the hard-work that goes into operating a business that feeds people and their souls.
So I’ll do a few little installments, but just know, these are only a glimpse of the entire experience.
